Crypto Security Center

Essential safety knowledge for every crypto user

Never share your seed phrase or private key with Sense Central or anyone claiming to represent Sense Central.

No legitimate service — including Sense Central, any exchange, any wallet provider or any support representative — will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key. If someone asks for this information, it is a scam. Immediately stop the interaction and report it.

Seed Phrase Safety

  • Your seed phrase is the master key to all your crypto assets.
  • Never share it with anyone — including Sense Central, exchanges or "support" staff.
  • Write it down on paper and store it in a secure physical location.
  • Never store your seed phrase digitally — no photos, no cloud storage, no email.
  • If someone has your seed phrase, they have full control of your assets.

Wallet Security

  • Hardware wallets (cold storage) are the most secure option for significant holdings.
  • Software wallets are convenient but more vulnerable to malware.
  • Always download wallets from official sources only.
  • Enable all available security features including PIN and passphrase.
  • Regularly verify your wallet backup works before you need it.

Phishing Awareness

  • Always verify the URL before entering any credentials.
  • Bookmark official exchange and wallet URLs — do not rely on search results.
  • Be suspicious of emails claiming urgent action is required.
  • Fake tokens can impersonate legitimate projects — verify contract addresses.
  • Legitimate services will never ask for your private key or seed phrase.

Common Scams

  • Giveaway scams: No legitimate project gives away free crypto for sending crypto first.
  • Impersonation: Scammers impersonate celebrities, exchanges and support staff.
  • Fake recovery services: No one can recover lost crypto by asking for your seed phrase.
  • Pump-and-dump: Coordinated price manipulation followed by a sell-off.
  • Rug pulls: Project developers abandon a project after raising funds.
