Records
1. The material certificates and equipment vendors’ data (including operating/maintenance instructions), to be included in the hand-over documentation, shall be kept for the life of the pipeline.
2. Each individual pipe should be allocated an identification number at the pipe mill, and the same number should be used for coating and construction records.
3. For large pipeline projects, a computer-based system for recording and tracking each individual pipe joint from the pipe mill to the construction location should be considered.
